Welcome to!

Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County (DUHC - pronounced "duck") is a community organizing group located in Humboldt County, CA. Currently, DUHC's only active project is the Move to Amend Education Fund, which takes on public education efforts around how corporate power affects democracy. This project, as the name implies, works very closely with Move to Amend, as its 501(c)3 partner organization.

Because our partnership with Move to Amend keeps us quite busy, this website is no longer kept up and most of the projects and programs found on this site are no longer active. We are still leaving this website up to provide historical information about DUHC, and in case at some future time, we decide to initiate or restart any locally oriented projects.

Prior to our involvement with Move to Amend, here's how we described the work of DUHC:

We work locally and across the country to help ordinary Americans reclaim our power from corporate rule. We're all about organizing at the local level to grow healthy communities and a democratic society. Check out the pages above to learn more about our organization and get involved.

DUHC is currently focused on our role hosting and managing the national field organizing office for Move to Amend, but you can explore our background and history by checking out our Projects pages. Become a fan of our Facebook page to stay current. To stay up to speed with all things DUHC, be sure to sign up to receive our email newsletters.

If you don't live in Humboldt County, visit our "Outside Humboldt County" section for all the information most applicable to you!

Contact us if you have any questions or feedback.

We look forward to working with you to build a democracy movement in the United States!
